Covered Books

These book covers are wet felted using pure wool tops and silk threads. They are then embroidered with metallic threads and beaded to add another dimension to the texture of the finished piece.

Cords are made from pure wools and metallic threads to compliment the book cover fabric and beads, buttons, tassels etc are added to give a pleasing finish.
Every book cover is different. I like to use books that have plain pages so that they can be used as sketch books or note books.
